Daniel is a multimedia artist born and raised in Louisiana. His traditional art consists of heavily rendered figures infused with bright, unexpected color and features a variety of subjects. Daniel’s inspiration comes from multiple sources: Louisiana Life, the world around him, pop culture, nature and so on. Although it is hard to beat the satisfaction of finishing a piece, Daniel has found the methodical process of creating the art to be one of the most relaxing and enjoyable activities you can engage in. The constant reassessment, reworking, and refining his subjects can be repetitive and sometimes frustrating, but Daniel loves it. This is evident in the level of detail in his work. A strong drawing always starts as the base of his pieces, then he adds color using gouache, watercolor, acrylic paint, and finally refines with colored pencils and pastels.

In addition to Daniel’s traditional art, he also is a graphic designer and illustrator. Daniel has always been obsessed with movie and gig posters, so he learned to make his own. Daniel combines his illustrations/art, custom typography, and personal photographs to create posters and other design elements for brands/businesses. Although the subject matter of his work varies greatly, all of his pieces are linked by a realistic drawing style and eye for interesting colors and compositions.
